Temporary Compliance Analyst – Maternity Cover

Location: Chichester
Maternity Cover

We are looking for a temporary Compliance Analyst to support the Compliance and Risk team in the Chichester office, for a period of up to one year to cover maternity leave.

The purpose of the role is to directly support the Head of Compliance & Risk and work with other members of the Compliance & Risk function in the management of regulatory requirements for Thesis Group, in order to provide a professional compliance advisory, project and monitoring service.

This role is a key component of the Thesis Compliance strategy to ensure that the Group achieves operational adherence to regulatory expectations in relation to FCA conduct requirements, ESMA conduct regulation guidance, financial crime and information security, whilst supporting the Group’s business requirements.  This may on occasion include other regulatory requirements and relevant laws/regulations.

The role will act as part of the overall second line of defence control environment in place within Thesis and has a focus on risk monitoring activity.  It will incorporate various measures and assessments to ensure the Thesis Group maintains both current and future operational adherence to regulatory requirements and expectations, whilst supporting business requirements and maintaining a strong compliance culture and risk management framework.

The job holder is likely to be a graduate or equivalent (e.g. a FCSI or MCSI) with a comprehensive understanding of FCA and other appropriate regulations governing the conduct of private client stockbroking, investment management, financial planning and fund administration business, supported by multiple years’ industry experience.  The job holder must have practical experience of giving compliance advice and interpreting regulatory publications, and of undertaking compliance monitoring (particularly in relation to client suitability).

Investment Manager

Location: Chichester
Full time

A position has arisen for an experienced Investment Manager to provide wealth management services to private clients and financial advisers.

We are looking for a great Investment Manager who is naturally open, approachable and straightforward; who is focussed, with a commitment to clear and transparent communication; and who is able to engage well with people and develop warm client relationships.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the management of client portfolios. With or without a book of your own, you should be confident and credible conducting business development and sales, spotting opportunities with IFAs, solicitors and accountants.  Establishing new relationships is a key function in this role.

You will be a great team-player, have good technical skills to complement the existing team and a first-rate understanding of investment markets. You will need to achieve annual sales targets, as well as being committed to providing excellent client service.

You must be RDR compliant with a current SPS.  In addition, you are likely to already hold the CISI Masters in Wealth Management (or equivalent) or have completed the full CFA programme and gained Chartered status and have considerable and extensive experience working as an Investment Manager or Wealth Manager.

Working knowledge of: Taxation – personal, corporate & Trust; IHT; Trusts – legal structure is desirable.
